Some random notes from the night, it was super cold, Cliff (my boyfriend of 6 yrs) his grandpa had a stroke and heart attack less than 24 hours before this shoot. we left the hospital and came straight to do this shoot at my home, because no business venues would let us shoot something so racy. Dennis Sharp, grandpa, did not survive. We later buried him...just 4 days after. on Jan 27th I believe. God Rest His Soul. Cliff was very upset and he had several friends over while we tried to shoot in the other room. We all ended up not being very focused, or maybe i just wasn't. Anyway, despite what happened to grandpa, and dauss's kid getting the flu, we just barely got the editorial out in time for the Valentine's holiday. I'm proud of us for getting it done anyway. it would have been so easy for me to cancel the shoot but when you have a team all ready to go, you had better go too if it doesn't compromise the integrity of the shoot/garments.
in other Random notes about this shoot, my roommate Ira's cat Ditka had shredded the back of the gown and i had to rework the train and stuff to salvage the gown before we moved into our new home. Now i keep the studio door shut and he cant come anywhere near my stuff. :) I'm more of a dog person anyway...the only cats i really like are barn cats. enough with the random facts for tonight.
